virtual therapy services

initial consultation: no charge

I provide a free 20-minute phone or video consultation so we can talk and get a sense of each other. This is a time where you can ask whatever questions you have and get a better sense of what therapy might be like with me. During the meeting, we discuss if we are a good fit to move forward and do an initial intake session. You are also welcome to take time after our call before deciding if you’d like to move forward with an intake. To get started with scheduling a consultation call, please fill out my contact form linked below.

intake session: $275 for 60 minute intake

60 minute preliminary video session to understand what has brought you to therapy, begin getting comfortable with one another, and discuss initial therapy goals. During the intake session I will also ask questions about your history and background. Our intake session is also an opportunity for you to share about the things that feel important for me to know. Typically at the end of an intake session we confirm scheduling for our next appointment. We may use our second session to cover whatever we couldn’t get to during our initial intake appointment.

individual therapy: $225 for 53 minute session

After intake, all sessions are 53 minutes and occur virtually using HIPAA-compliant telehealth software. We can discuss the things brought up in the intake session as well as other important issues that may arise over time. Therapy tends to provide the most benefit when done on a regular basis, typically this means weekly sessions. However, we can discuss the option of doing therapy on a less-frequent basis if you’d like.

individual therapy: $339 for 80 minute session

If 53 minutes just isn’t enough time, you can book a longer 80-minute therapy session! These longer sessions must be scheduled in advance to ensure we schedule at a time where I have an 80-minute opening. 80-minute sessions can either be your regular appointment length or every once in awhile when you have lots to discuss.

low-fee sessions:

I believe that anyone who wants therapy should have access to it. However, our current healthcare system does not value mental healthcare as it should. This is one reason I’ve chosen to be paneled with an insurance provider, so those who have that insurance can use their insurance for our sessions. Since not everyone has that insurance provider, I understand therapy costs may remain out of reach. To make therapy more financially accessible, a portion of my caseload is reserved for clients who would otherwise not be able to afford therapy. Please contact me for more information on low-fee sessions and we can work to find a rate that will work for you.

CURRENTLY: All spots filled, please check back to find out when a low-fee spot becomes available.

payment methods

I keep a card on file for each client that is charged at the end of each session. I accept debit cards, credit cards, FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards and HSA (Health Savings Account) cards.

cancellation policy

I value our time together and when you book a session with me, that time is reserved just for you. Therefore, I ask for at least 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. With exceptions for emergencies, the card you have on file will be charged for the full fee for any cancelled/rescheduled sessions with less than 24-hour notice.

good faith esitmate

  • Beginning January 1, 2022, federal law requires health care practitioners to provide current and potential clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) of what the charges could be for psychotherapy services provided to you.

  • While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know, in advance, how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, this form provides an estimate of the cost of services provided.

  • Your total cost will depend on the number of sessions you attend and the type and amount of services that are provided to you. This will be based on your needs and your treatment plan.

  • The estimate is not a contract and does not make you obligated to obtain any services from the provider(s) listed, nor does it include any services rendered to you that are not identified here.

  • You have the right to initiate a dispute resolution process if the actual amount charged to you substantially exceed the estimated charges stated in your Good Faith Estimate (this means $400+ beyond the estimated charges)

  • For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or the dispute process, visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers or call 1-800-985-3059. The initiation of the patient-provider dispute resolution process will not adversely affect the quality of the services furnished to you.
