individual therapy

my clinical style

My therapy approach is firmly rooted in social justice, anti-oppression, Health at Every Size, trauma-informed, and intersectional feminist theories. I strive to create a compassionate and non-judgmental atmosphere in which your identities feel seen and valued.

I hope to work collaboratively to create goals to guide our work together and find skills to help navigate life’s challenges and your emotions more effectively.

Additionally, I often work with folks to explore and make sense of larger systems impacting your lived experience (ex. racism, ableism, white supremacy, homophobia/biphobia, colorism, sizeism, capitalism, transphobia, etc.). This often involves exploration of how stress, anxiety, trauma, and depression may be a result of or worsened by these oppressive systems. Together, the therapy space can be a place to rest, reflect, and just be yourself. If you’re wanting skills to help cope with stressors, emotions, and challenges, I’m here to help!

For folks familiar, I draw primarily from the following approaches Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Compassion Focused Therapy.
